A lovely project to create a relaxed, useable family garden from an unused plot. We used the slope of the garden to create a raised terrace and introduced planting and a multistemmed tree near the house to make you feel immediately immersed in the garden.

 

Two curved lawns linked by stepping stones and dense planting lead down the garden to a further shady sitting area at the far end. The path takes you on a journey drawing your eye to the sides of the garden and making it feel wider.

 

We reclaimed this whole area of the garden from a broken shed and boggy ground to create a pretty, restful area from which to enjoy an evening drink. As the plants mature each area of the garden will become more enclosed by the planting.
